Description

The Roll Forming Machine for W Beam from M/S Ferro Industries works automatically and handles large volumes. It forms the steel sections used as roadside crash barriers. The frame is heavy mild steel. Eighteen pairs of rolls shape the strip plus an automatic shear cuts the part to length. The machine accepts strip 2 mm to 3 mm thick and 50 mm to 100 mm wide. A 10 HP main motor, with auxiliary drives, brings the total load to 50 HP. One shift produces about five tonnes of finished beam, enough for most road safety contracts. A programmable controller sets speed, length but also batch count - the same settings repeat for every piece. The rolls stay in line through hardened spindles and sealed bearings - the machine needs little service and runs for years.
